Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, frequently called a nose job, is a common request that Sydney Plastic Surgeon Dr Steve Merten gets on a regular basis. Many people are unhappy with the appearance or size of their nose, and rhinoplasty may be able to give you a more shapely nose that is better suited to your other facial features. It is important to remember that cosmetic plastic surgery does not come with any guarantees, and consulting a plastic surgeon or plastic surgery clinic will give you a better idea of the possible changes that you may get from a rhinoplasty procedure.

 What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure that involves changing the structure, shape, function, or appearance of the nose. This procedure may be performed for cosmetic or medical reasons. If you have a deviated septum or other structural defects in the structure of your nose then a rhinoplasty procedure may be recommended for medical reasons. This surgery can also be a good choice if you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose and want to change it.

How Long Will I Need to Recover?

Full rhinoplasty recovery can take up to a year as your tissues change, and any swelling and bruising starts to go away. The first two weeks after this type of cosmetic plastic surgery is when you will see the most noticeable changes. Expect to see bruising, often around both eyes as well as the nose area, and a considerable amount of swelling at first. You may want to stay home for the first week or two after rhinoplasty cosmetic plastic surgery, and the plastic surgery clinic or surgeon will tell you when you can resume your normal activities and daily routine.

What Results can Rhinoplasty Give Me?

Each individual is different, and your rhinoplasty results may not be the same as someone else. A qualified cosmetic surgeon can help determine what you should expect after a rhinoplasty, and discuss any concerns and questions that you have. You will know what to realistically expect from this surgery and have a chance to ask any questions that you may have during the initial consultation with the plastic surgery clinic or plastic surgeon.

How Much Does Rhinoplasty Cost?

The cost of the plastic surgeon, the charge for the hospital, the anaesthesia costs, and other related expenses are all included in the total cost for the rhinoplasty operation. Out of pocket expenses, here at Pure Aesthetics, start at $8,400 for Rhinoplasty.
